I am getting odd striped shadows in almost every game I play on my GTX 680. It has to do with Ambient Occlusion, because when I turn AO off, the shadows are no longer there. But turning AO off makes the game look ugly and I need it to be ON. How can I fix these weird shadows? I already tried reinstalling my drivers. I've been messing around with the Skyrim Special Edition this evening, and along with comparing how it looks to the (unmodded) original, I've also got some information on the available settings. Where the hell can I turn off this crappy Ambient Occlusion? This topic is now archived and is closed to further replies. Also try opening skyrim settings and turn off FXAA or what ever skyrim is using this also switches on ambient occlusion from what i seen. Share this post. Link to post. Monsto Brukes. Hah, I'm surprised this works! Have you tried any other settings? Considered making a comparison?EDIT: Or I could just make a comparison myself (see image section).I'd say the Oblivion SSAO setting looks better here, too.2.
