Asked: How can I run Chrome without add-ons or extensions? For how long? Just today, or all the time? To run chrome all the time without extensions, don’t add any. By default, I believe chrome installs with no extensions. If by chance you have. Starting with Chrome 57, that option is no longer available. Ok back on this. I had a user grabbed me when this happened. I am able to kill some, but not all Chrome processes. I was able to re-launch it once after getting rid of some processes, disabled all extensions, and then I could not get back in.
So I was left with 2 chrome.exe processes I was not able to kill, I did get a dump file of one of them, can I send to google for analysis?So when Chrome gets in this state and I try to re-launch it, i'll see about 4 processes open up and then close right away, so it is trying to open, but unable to for whatever reason. Is there a safemode to launch Chrome with minimal addons or something? I tried chrome.exe -safemode-plugins and it didn't help.I found this as well, as I was writing this post, perhaps I'll try this next time.-disable-extensions.
