Fallout 3 Goty Mods
Just picked up Fallout 3 GOTY Edition on Steam the other day, since I never tried the expansions, and haven't played it in years. Never got into modding it back in the day, either, but I want to now. Which ones should I really check out?
The first Nexus Mods Screenshot Community Event is here! Submit your screenshots of Skyrim, Skyrim Special Edition, Enderal, Fallout 4, or Fallout 76 illustrating the event theme and seize your chance to win one of three £25 Steam Gift Cards ($33 depending on exchange rates). As we announced earlier this week.
Also, everyone always says Fellout, so I was looking on the nexus site at that, but I'm a little confused. There seems to be a bunch of 'optional' files for different versions of Fellout.
Which ones do I need? Just got Fallout 3 GOTY Edition on Steam, so it has all the DLC/expansions, and is the latest version. I don't have the DLCs activated right now, though.
I used to look through the Nexus for good FO3 mods, but I never did get the PC version of it. I spent so much time on the PS3 version I'm burned out on it, though I did make a nice list of mods I thought would REALLY improve the hell out of the game.If you haven't already, then the Nexus top 100 has a superb list of mods, and the mod manager (which is number 1) is a no brainer. Ok as far as essentail goes its a matter of personal prefrence.
But once you have completed the main story arc, there is a great mod out there that feels like DLC. (ALL dlc required i think).
Its called mothership zeta crew. Has lots of adons for it also. It is one of the best mods I have ever played and almost feels like it could be its own game. Has a great story line also.
Note: the story line was not finished at the time i played it, unsure if it ever got finished but i know its still being worked on from reading on the nexus. Just some quick info about it, it adds a new faction to the game and you get to be in charge of your own spaceship/army. Sorta like an exspansion to mothership zeta dlc. Never the less its a must have for me. Did i mention you get to ride around in your own mini ship? (not fly, ride.
Fallout 3 Goty Graphics Mod
Just like the vertibirds, think thats what they were called.)/End mini wall of text. NMC's textures are a must coulyI downloaded NMC's textures, but I'm not sure if they're installed right. Got the performance version of the Fallout Nexus, and it came in 2 zip files, and said to rename them both, and then only unzip the first one, into the data folder. I did that, and it unzipped a whole bunch of stuff, into the textures folder, but I'm not sure if I'm seeing any difference. Maybe I'm just not seeing it well because I also just installed Fellout, so the lighting is all different. Is the performance version not much of an upgrade? Should I try to full version?
